About Friends of Tapson

The Friends of Tapson (FOT) is a non-political, diaspora-led global humanitarian and philanthropic organization founded by Fate Bobby Tapson and Kemah Kolleh Tapson. With roots in New Kru Town, Monrovia, Liberia, we are dedicated to enriching communities around the world through education, food security, youth empowerment, and sports development.

Welcome to Friends of Tapson (FOT).

We are honored that you have taken the time to learn more about our organization and the mission that inspires our work.

We are Fate Bobby Tapson and Kemah Kolleh Tapson, proud Liberians, devoted husband and wife, parents to our two beautiful daughters, Sophie and Faith, and the founders of Friends of Tapson. Our family believes that true leadership is measured not by personal success, but by the lives we uplift and the opportunities we create for others.

Friends of Tapson was founded on a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves access to quality education, every young person deserves the opportunity to develop their talents, and every community deserves access to basic healthcare and the resources needed to thrive.

We have witnessed both the incredible resilience of our people and the challenges many communities continue to face. Those experiences strengthened our conviction that lasting change is achieved by investing in people, empowering communities, and creating sustainable solutions—not temporary assistance.

Through Friends of Tapson, we are committed to expanding educational opportunities, supporting youth through sports and leadership development, improving community healthcare initiatives, and partnering with local leaders to build stronger, healthier communities. We believe that meaningful change happens when people work together with a shared purpose and a genuine commitment to serving others.

Our vision extends beyond individual projects. We are working to build a legacy of hope, opportunity, and service that will positively impact generations to come. Every classroom built, every student encouraged, every young athlete empowered, and every family served brings us one step closer to that vision.

Whether you are visiting our website for the first time, considering becoming a partner, volunteering your time, or supporting our mission through a donation, we sincerely thank you for being here. Your support and belief in our work make this journey possible.

Together, we can create opportunities, strengthen communities, and inspire hope for a brighter future.

Thank you for visiting Friends of Tapson. We invite you to join us as we continue this journey of service, compassion, and lasting impact.

With gratitude,
